Framework
Constitution & Governance
How the Order is governed, held accountable and kept transparent.
This framework sets out the organisation's purpose, governance structure, leadership responsibilities, ethical standards, membership rules, accountability and transparency. It is published as a working framework pending formal adoption; adopted amendments will be dated here.
Article I — Name and Status
The organisation is named The Seven Order of the Illuminati ("the Order"). It is an independent, non-political historical and educational organisation. It is not the Bavarian Illuminati founded in 1776, nor a continuation of it, and shall make no such claim.
Article II — Purpose
The Order exists to explore, preserve and present the history of the Illuminati and the Enlightenment; to maintain a public archive; to publish accurate educational material; and to promote the Seven Principles.
Article III — Governance Structure
The Order is governed by its Leadership — the Supreme President, the Grand Chancellor and the Deputy Chancellor — and administered through seven departments, each led by a director accountable to the Leadership. Regional representatives act on behalf of the Order in their regions.
Article IV — Leadership Responsibilities
- Supreme President: sets the strategic direction of the Order, represents it publicly and chairs the Leadership.
- Grand Chancellor: oversees administration, the departments and the implementation of decisions.
- Deputy Chancellor: supports the Grand Chancellor, deputises in their absence and oversees ethics and governance matters assigned to them.
Article V — Ethical Standards
Members and officers shall act honestly and respectfully; shall not fabricate history, credentials or identities; shall declare conflicts of interest; shall protect personal information; and shall not use the Order for political campaigning, commercial exploitation or any unlawful purpose.
Article VI — Membership Rules
Membership is open to adults who apply, accept these rules and are approved after review. Membership may be suspended or ended for serious breach of the ethical standards, after the member has been given an opportunity to respond.
Article VII — Accountability
Officers are accountable for their decisions. Significant administrative actions are recorded. Complaints may be raised with the Ethics & Governance department, which shall consider them impartially.
Article VIII — Transparency
The Order publishes its governing framework, the identities of its authorised officers (with their consent) and a summary of its activities. It does not publish members' personal information.
Article IX — Organisational Principles
All activities of the Order are guided by the Seven Principles: Knowledge, Wisdom, Unity, Discipline, Integrity, Enlightenment and Legacy.
Article X — Amendment
This framework may be amended by decision of the Leadership. Amendments take effect when published on this page with their date.
