Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, protect and delete personal information.
Who we are
This website is operated by The Seven Order of the Illuminati, an independent historical and educational organisation. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact form.
What we collect
- Membership applications: your full legal name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, optionally your date of birth, your professional background, your reasons for applying, and records of the consents you gave.
- Enquiries and event registrations: your name, email address, organisation (if given) and message.
- Website analytics: anonymous, aggregated counts of page views and traffic sources. We do not use cookies for analytics and do not store IP addresses; a daily-rotating, non-reversible visitor hash is deleted after two days.
Why we use it
To review membership applications and communicate decisions, to answer enquiries, to manage event registrations, to issue and verify membership certificates, and — only if you opted in — to send organisational announcements.
Who can see it
Only authorised administrators, using two-factor authentication, with access limited by role. Every access to an application is recorded in an audit log. We never publish applicants' personal information and we do not sell or share it for marketing.
Service providers
The website runs on Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage). Emails are delivered by Resend. Both act on our instructions.
How long we keep it
See our data retention page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, use the contact form and choose "Membership enquiry".
