Bibliography & Recommended Reading
The primary sources and scholarship behind this website — with links to digitised originals wherever they are freely available.
This list gathers the works cited across the website. Primary sources are documents produced at the time; scholarship is later historical research; the "legend" section lists the works that created the conspiracy myth, which are historical sources for the myth rather than evidence about the order. Links go to free digitised copies or library catalogue records; we have not reproduced copyrighted texts.
